HELD
Held โ A Maiden to Mother Ceremony
A gentle half-day retreat for the woman crossing the threshold into motherhood For pregnancy & the postpartum season ยท Bi-annual ยท Newark, DE
Pregnancy and early motherhood are profound thresholds โ yet they are rarely witnessed with the care and reverence they deserve.
Held is a half-day ceremonial gathering for women who are pregnant or in the postpartum season. Created as a space to slow down, be supported, and honor the quiet transformation of becoming a mother.
Together we move through a thoughtfully guided experience including gentle embodiment, reflective practice, ritual, rest, and a warm nourishing meal shared in community.
This is not a class or a workshop. It is a space of intentional gathering โ where nothing is required of you and everything is offered as an invitation.
During our signature ritual, you will create a personal holding vessel โ a symbolic object to take home and place on your altar as a reminder of this season and the woman you are becoming.
"This space is non-religious and welcoming of all beliefs and backgrounds."
Come as you are. Rest is welcome here.

On the power of being witnessed
Most of us move through the biggest thresholds of our lives without anyone stopping to acknowledge them. We labor, we birth, we become mothers โ and the world moves on. The casseroles stop coming. The visitors thin out. And we are left to integrate something enormous, largely alone.
Ceremony is the antidote to that invisibility. It says: what is happening in you matters. It deserves to be marked. It deserves to be held.
This is not spiritual performance. This is the oldest form of human care โ the gathering of women around a woman in transformation, saying: we see you. We are here. You are not crossing this alone.
