WHAT TO EXPECT
What happens in a session
This is not your normal massage appointment. From the moment you arrive, the intention is simple: to tend to your mind, your body, and your heart. This moment in your life is to be honored — and every session is designed to reflect that.
You will have the option to lie face-down using a pregnancy cushion system that fully supports your belly, or side-lying — whichever feels right for your body that day. The cushion system is safe for singleton pregnancies at any stage and positions your body as if you were on all fours — which is wonderful for round ligament pain and for encouraging your baby into optimal positioning for labor.
Every session is tailored to where you are in your pregnancy. First trimester tenderness, second trimester structural shifts, third trimester preparation — each stage has its own needs and I meet you exactly there.
Massage can ease the physical discomforts of pregnancy: back pain, hip tension, round ligament pain, swelling, and breathlessness. It regulates the nervous system, reduces stress hormones, and supports healthy circulation for both you and your baby. And perhaps most importantly — it gives you an hour of being completely held. No decisions to make. No one needing anything from you. Just your body, supported and tended to.
Women often tell me afterward that they are so relaxed they could fall asleep on the table. That they feel settled in their body in a way they haven't felt in weeks. That it was like being in another world.
That is what this is for.

THE CUSHION SYSTEM
A note on the pregnancy cushion
That journey is what I bring into every class, every practice, every word I offer you. Not as someone who has it all figured out — but as someone who has walked this terrain and found her footing. And knows exactly where the ground feels uncertain.
In the later weeks of the third trimester, depending on your anatomy and the size of your belly, there may be moments where your belly lightly grazes the table. A light graze is perfectly fine. What I ask you to trust is your mother's intuition — if at any point the pressure on your belly doesn't feel right, tell me immediately. That is your body communicating, and we listen to it. We will move to a side-lying position and continue from there. You are always the expert of your own body in this room.
If you are carrying multiples, we will assess together as your pregnancy progresses and use side-lying positioning as needed.
WHEN CAN I COME
When is it safe to come?
Anytime during a normal pregnancy — including the first trimester.
There is no evidence that massage during a healthy first trimester pregnancy is unsafe. In fact the opposite is true: consistent massage throughout pregnancy supports the natural course it takes.
If your pregnancy has been classified as high-risk, I will need a note from your doctor before we begin. We will discuss any adjustments needed for your specific situation. Not every high-risk classification requires us to wait — we simply want to make sure we have your provider's support before we proceed.
