Arrival & Cancellation Policies
Out of respect for my time and the time of other clients, please plan to arrive on time. If you arrive late, I can only offer whatever time remains of your scheduled appointment โ and you will be responsible for the full fee of the session length you reserved.
Please complete the New Client Agreement Form and Intake Form included in your Welcome Email at least 2 hours before your session. If forms are not completed in advance, please arrive 10โ15 minutes early to complete the paper version on site. Time used to complete forms will not be added to your session.
Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. A credit card on file or prepayment is required to hold and guarantee your appointment. Your card will not be charged unless you do not adhere to the Cancellation and No-Show Policy below.
All charges will be collected via the credit card safely encrypted and kept on file.
Due to the nature of this work, I waive emergency no-shows and last-minute cancellations that are birth and labor related. Outside of this exception, the Cancellation Policy is strictly enforced in all circumstances โ including first offenses and gift card reservations.
Ethics, Professionalism & Draping
Massage therapy is a licensed healthcare profession in the State of Delaware.
Please be mindful of noise levels during your visit. Mobile devices must be turned off or set to silent before entering the premises. Use of electronic devices during sessions is not permitted.
Any behavior, language, jokes, innuendo, or requests for services forbidden by law are strictly prohibited. Behavior or speech that is rude, harsh, or disrespectful toward the therapist will not be tolerated. Should any of these policies be violated, the session will end immediately, the full fee for the reserved time will be charged, and no refund will be issued. State or local authorities will be contacted if circumstances warrant.
Draping
Clients should not begin undressing until the therapist has left the treatment area. The therapist will not re-enter until the client confirms they are ready. Private areas of the body will be draped at all times. Should the drape be compromised at any point, please alert the therapist immediately.
Safe Communication
Please speak up at any time if something feels uncomfortable, distracting, or not right. Your comfort is the highest priority. Because each session is tailored and delivered in real time, refunds are not issued on services rendered.
Terms of Purchase
In-Person Sessions
Payment is due at the time of booking or at the time of service. Sessions are non-refundable once rendered. Cancellation fees apply as outlined in the Cancellation Policy above.
Online Studio Membership
The Studio membership is billed monthly on the date of enrollment. You may cancel at any time through your Kajabi account โ cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for the current billing period after billing has occurred.
The Village Membership
The Village membership is billed monthly at $10/month. Cancel within 30 days notice at any time by contacting Monica directly. First attendance is complimentary.
Digital Guides & Products
All digital products โ including The Golden Window Postpartum Ritual Guide and all future guides, workbooks, and bundles โ are non-refundable once access has been granted. If you experience a technical issue accessing your product, please contact [email protected] and we will resolve it promptly.
Courses
All online courses are non-refundable once enrollment access has been granted and course materials have been accessed. If you have not yet accessed the course and wish to request a refund, please contact [email protected] within 48 hours of purchase.
Ceremonies & Events
Ceremony and event payments are non-refundable within 7 days of the event date. Cancellations made more than 7 days before the event will receive a full refund or credit toward a future event at Monica's discretion.
Coaching Program
Full coaching program terms and refund policy to be supplied by legal counsel before program enrollment opens. See coaching program agreement for complete terms.
Service Disclaimers
Massage & Bodywork
Massage therapy services at The Threshold Body are provided by a Licensed Massage Therapist (MT: 0015128) in the State of Delaware. Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical care. Clients with medical conditions, high-risk pregnancies, or recent surgeries should consult their healthcare provider before booking. Monica reserves the right to decline or modify a session if she determines it is not appropriate given a client's current health status.
Energy Sessions โ Reiki, Embodiment Coaching & Complementary Modalities
Energy sessions โ including Reiki, Feminine Embodiment Coaching, Birth Story Processing, Dream Birth Magnetization, and Embodied Boundary Work โ are complementary and educational services. They are not licensed medical, psychological, or mental health services, and are not a substitute for therapy, counseling, psychiatric care, or medical treatment.
These sessions may involve somatic awareness practices and emotional processing. If you are currently working with a mental health provider, please inform Monica before your session. If you are in crisis or experiencing acute mental health symptoms, please contact a licensed mental health professional or crisis service before booking.
Ceremonies
The Held ceremony and all future ceremonial gatherings hosted by The Threshold Body are community and spiritual gatherings. Monica is not acting as a licensed therapist, doula, medical provider, or mental health professional during these events. Participation is entirely voluntary. All activities are offered as invitations โ nothing is required.
Attendees participate at their own discretion. The Threshold Body is not liable for any physical, emotional, or psychological responses that may arise during or after a ceremonial gathering.
Digital Guides & Educational Content
All digital products, courses, and educational content published by The Threshold Body โ including The Golden Window Postpartum Ritual Guide, The Female Body: An Unexplored Landscape, and all future digital products โ are provided for educational and informational purposes only.
Content related to Ayurvedic practices, postpartum care, nutrition, nervous system regulation, and embodiment is not medical advice and does not replace the guidance of a licensed healthcare provider. Results vary. Individual experiences with any practice or recommendation may differ.
